What's New: Announcement for the National Fiction Competition posted, entries due June 15, 2007

  • "Pointing Out Your Ruse"
    An Astrobiology inspired work will be premiered in a Faculty Artist Series recital on Wednesday October 4, 2006, at 7:30 pm, in Crowder Hall. The work is "Pointing Out Your Ruse," by Craig Walsh. The piece was written for violinist Mark Rush and percussionist Norm Weinberg. Click here for more information.
  • "life aromatic with red-hop pizazz"
    The UA School of Music "Faculty Artist Series" presents Pamela Decker,
    organ, in concert on Friday, September 1, at 7:00 PM in the Holsclaw Hall
    in the Fine Arts Complex. The program will include the premiere of
    Professor Decker's composition "life aromatic with red-hop pizazz," a piece
    for organ and voice, which sets Diane Ackerman's poem "Ode to the Alien" to
    music. This piece is among those inspired and commissioned by the
