Are you looking for an exciting and engaging graduate level science course to meet your science teaching requirements?
ONLINE, CONVENIENTLY SCHEDULED, ADDRESSES STANDARDS
Teaching Earth System Science is a new online/lecture course from the University of Arizona:
GEOS 597M (Section 910) - 3 units
This course is designed to help you articulate and evolve your own knowledge about relevant topics in Earth system science and to learn to collaborate for knowledge-building.
This online course is taught in conjunction with the Astrobiology and the Sacred lecture series at the University of Arizona, focusing on earth system science as viewed through Astrobiology.
Earth System Science thinking begins with the premise that the land, air, water, and living things on the Earth are inextricably related and affect each other constantly. This view leads to a rich study of events and situations that draws on the traditional science disciplines. It goes beyond them with the rigorous thinking required by theory building about the relationships in the system.
100% Tuition & Fees Covered for the first fifteen (15) teachers enrolled in GEOS 597M (910).
